Express Brainsights
While working at Brainsights, the company was poised with a challenge: how could they offer their clients the ability to drive both a deeper connection with their audience, and accelerate their business growth at an accessible price point? In order to answer this question, the engineering team and I developed Express Brainsights, a consumer neuroscience reporting tool.
RESEARCH & DATA
I was responsible for end-to-end design delivery of the tool. In order to assess Brainsights reporting strengths and pitfalls, I performed user interviews and conducted a competitive audit of similar reporting tools. The only source of data to be visualized was Brainsights first-party neural-data.
OUTPUT
For this tool, my goal was to design a new aesthetic for the graphs, launch their new metric, Neural Engagement, and understand how their clients would use each feature in the report to drive actionable decision making. I chose to remain using a line chart for the primary visualization due to the time-based nature of the data, however, all of the visual elements were re-designed to align with their new brand identity. I worked closely with the Engineering team to design the final product using an iterative method. Tools utilized for the project were Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Microsoft Excel. Ultimately, Express Brainsights was a success as it met their goal -providing neuroscience insights at an accessible price point and helping the company attain new customers.
